They were friendly nice and made me very comfortable. I would recommend them to everyone I think this is the best tattoo shop I've ever been to.

Josh and the entire crew ripped me and my husband off. In May we went into to lucky's to get a tattoo cover up. My husband wanted a picture of Bub from the Land of the Dead. Josh wasn't comfortable doing that tattoo so my husband decided on another zombie picture but wanted the head phones from the first picture and some writing on the bottom Josh quoted us a price of 300$ we paid him. It took him over an hour to get started and he only got the zombie done. He claimed he wanted to wait to do the headphones and the shading on the tattoo. and for us to come back later. It took us 2 months to get a response from him to come back and then he said it would be another 80$. We spoke to the manager Jacob, who was there for the original transaction and agreed with us that it was bad business. We never got a receipt for the original 300$ nor did we sign any wavier of consent. This is underground business and highway robbery at is worst. I would not recommend this shop to any one. So now we have a half finished tattoo and have to try and find another artist to complete it. Thanks Josh for your incredible customer service and honesty.

Lucky was really patient and helped me out in making the right decision to get something that was not TOO obvious.

Even with a lot of businesses leaving Deep Ellum, Lucky's is surviving because of the great work they put out. They have top notch artists who arent afraid of long tedious pieces.Price is comparable to most shops but the quality is top notch.
