I love their bagels. I don't know how they make them so fluffy (I also don't know why nowhere else seems to do it as well). If you want a really great bagel and an amazing assortment of spreads, they can't be beat. Can have a bit of a line though, especially on Sunday mornings.

Take this in context because the last time I picked up bagels here was almost 40 years ago in the early 70s, before moving back east, but the outstanding taste lingers on. I was recently reminiscing about those days when I lived in an apartment just south of there on Sepulveda and would sometimes treat myself to some of their fresh baked bagels.
When I did a search I found the other review that suggest this joint is still going strong and turning out exceptional fare. My standard for bagels was from Chicago delis, and trips to NYC. I was delighted to discover this bagel works and got a nostalgic feeling seeing the others' comments. Check it out and maybe 40 years from now you'll also be remembering something special.
Another of my favorite food joints I was searching for was the Cantina Del Gato Mexican restaurant, but alas it seems to have closed down sometime in the 70s shortly after I moved to Wilmington, DE where I now reside, an food choices are much more limited.

Great bagels whether I buy them in the store or go to the actual location on Sepulveda Blvd. to buy them fresh. Takes cash and check only (I learned that the hard way). Easy parking and fast friendly service behind the counter service.

Ok, these are not NY bagels...but they are decent, tasty bagels, nonetheless. There is a great selection of flavors, the bagels are reasonably sized, so you can eat a whole one without the feeling you just ate a week's worth of carbs...their alternative bagels and pita are amazing, if you are watching your figure. You can get fresh cream cheese, flavored if you want it, and a decent cup of coffee, with a nice assortment of things to put in it. Cash or check only.

Their danishes and sweetbreads look like meals into themselves, and they even serve breakfast bagel options, with egg and bacon, etc. They will even toast and cream cheese one if you want. They are open 24 hours a day and are the main factory, so you know you're getting the freshest there is. Staff is friendly, and will let you know what has just come out of the oven if you ask. They even sometimes give my toddler a mini bagel to nibble on when we go in.
