Warning! Do not take your car here. Since they have come under new management all i have recieved is terrible service. I took my car in to read the code on my check engine light they told me i needed a new converter. I paid to have it replaced and as soon as i left the shop my light came back on. So i took it back and they replaced my o2 censor and as soon as i left the shop my engine light came back on again. I have been up there 4 more times each time they supposedly fixed a new problem but my engine light always comes back on. The worst $488 dollars i ever spent.

The check engine light came on in my 98 Integra last year (2007). My catalytic converter went bad. I spent about $600 to get it replaced in July 2007. The light came back on in November, only 4 months later! I brought it back to get it fixed under warranty, but they said it probably wont be covered under the warranty because it wasnt the original motor (but it was the exact same kind). I brought it back in May 2008 and they said the car was running rich and I needed a new catalytic converter again. Then I ordered one online, and received the wrong part. So Gus recommended getting an o2 simulator to trick the computer and it would allow me to pass emissions. I ordered that part and when I took it in he said its the 2nd o2 sensor and the o2 simulator wouldnt help me. And when I picked up the car, the battery was dead and the car wouldnt start (I had no problems starting it to drive it there). They denied draining the battery. So I bought one and installed it. And when driving home, I noticed the speedometer and odometer were not working (again, it was working on the way there). I brought it back to them and asked them to look at it (because it was working, now wasn't). He denied doing anything that could've cause it to stop working. Then he said he'd look at it but he'd charge me for diagnostics. I refuse to pay them to look at what they broke! I haven't had a problem with the battery nor speedometer/odometer in the past. But had a problem with both after leaving my car with them for ONE day. And the original problem I took it in for STILL has not been fixed. Think twice before going to Meineke.

We just moved here from FL and was looking for a decent mechanic. The first place I went they totally tried to rip me off, I am a woman-but know a lot about cars. I went there second. They were very busy, but everyone seemed to know their names. I was happy with the service. Second time I went in, it was the same. I spoke with several other customers who only use Gus and were very loyal. We used them exclusively for several cars for several years... things started becoming questionable, and the repairs all started becoming very expensive. When I got a $700 quote for something another mechanic fixed with a $3 clamp, that was the end of it. We won't be back.

I have had my cars worked on many times here . I'll even drive out of my way to do so. Why ? They really fix your car and don't beat around the bush about it .One of their lead mechanics has all of his certificates hang on the wall and it is alot . Timing is pretty good on getting you out too , many resturants are near by , walking distance . They are friendly , it is a husband and wife owner with kids . I know because they are that friendly .

PROS: Honest
CONS: None
