I moved from North Carolina to Phoenix. Since that time, I have subscribed to Cox Cable for Internet service. For the most part, the service has been fair; working good for the majority of the time and really lousy when it wasn't. Now!! I have moved to south Phoenix. Since doing so I have had nothing but problems with Internet service from Cox. Two technicians (if you can call them that) have been out so far. The last one replaced all of the connection ends. The problem still remained so he called his supervisor (#103). The technician had his phone on speaker so I could hear the conversation. The supervisor told the technician this: "Here's what you tell the customer. Tell him we are aware of a problem in the field and it will be a couple of days before it will be fixed." Needless to say I was appauled at his attempt to try and appease me by creating a false excuse for poor service. The technician turned red as a turnip and didn't know what to say.

Cox Communications does NOT deserve to charge what they do for Internet service or rather the LACK of service. I'm making my concerns known to whatever governent authority that governs these people in the hopes some sort of investigation will take place.

If I had another choice, I would take it but QWest's service isn't much better and satellite is slower than a modem.

I have high-def and have noticed recently lots of fragmentation of reception through Cox cable. Lots of jumps and freezes and pixillations. Is this because I have a high-def? Has anyone else noticed this happening with greater frequency? I'm pretty sick of it but have no confidence that Cox will care or even if it does care, have a cure. Any advice?

On June 1st, 2009, I subscribed for COX High Speed Internet ??BASIC? Service with the Motorola SB4100 cable modem which was pre-approved by the technical support representatives (over the phone) and by two field technicians at my home.

From the very first day, COX did not deliver the full ??BASIC? service promised in the advertisement because for a month and half I had no access to my electronic mail account at COX.net. It was especially shocking, since I had normal connection to the entire Internet except for COX.net.

Nevertheless, COX charged me and held me responsible for all the troubles that I had with ??FREE email? service that COX failed to deliver. I had to pay for the negligence and incompetence of COX??s technical staff!

Mr. P. J. Esser, President of COX Communications, ignored my letter of complaint (dated 8/25/2009, sent by the certified mail) and did not favor me with any written response to the point of my problem.

A new facet of COX disgraceful billing practice was astounding. Instead of openly disputing the subject, COX officials tried to pass over the conflict in silence and TO BUY MY CONSENT DIRT-CHEAP by partially reducing their preposterous charges. Such a refined ??billing practice? is typical for businesses with low moral and ethical standards (if any).

It is my personal believe that those officials, who handled my case, DID NOT PRIZED and CARED for THEIR COMPANY??S REPUTATION, had no courage to face consequences of their shortsighted behavior, and could not take responsibility for COX??s sloppy and unprofessional business.

I hate cox, their customer service is the worst in any industry, the installers are mostly contracted labor that has some ex-con looking tattooed person come to your house with 0 personality. I cant stand this company and will switch as soon as I can afford it.

It is very disappointing that the HD lineup for a cable company serving the 5th largest city in the US has such a poor HD channel lineup. For example, a smaller market (Oklahoma City) has 64 HD channels while Phoenix has a total of 45!!! I have relatives in Oklahoma City and they use the same equipment there as we have here in Phoenix. I am ready to either try Dish or Direct TV to get more HD channels.

I have had nothing but problems since I moved into this house 4 years ago. Every tech has "the answer" when they show up and yet no one has yet figured out the problem.

I told them for 3 years that my lines were getting water in them since every time it rained, my phones would disrupt. They finally listened last month and sure enough my phone lines were rotted due to moisture in the lines. The answer to that was don't use your jacks in the house. Plug directly into the modem and don't have a LAN line.

I have had my house rewired twice now. They told me I needed a new modem so I spent the $$ on that and that didn't fix anything! They said the phone modem was bad so that's been replaced THREE times.

Half the times the techs show up and don't have a clue why they are are even at my house. Several times the tech has been outside trying to figure out what his answer will be to me and the Cox trucks will pull up and tell him they were doing maintenance. Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing??

But this is the final straw. I asked for service records because now they don't even give you a repair order and I was told I would have to get an attorney and have my records subpoenaed.

I don't get any breaks for bundling anymore. I don't get any perks for being a loyal customer. I don't even get good customer service from them. I don't recommend them to anyone. Hello QWEST.

Let me just say this--I wouldn't even move into a neighborhood that did NOT have Cox availability. They are the best in customer service, in troubleshooting, in billing. I have never had a company do everything right but Cox is the one that has. Keep up the good work!!

We had digital television (converted from analog), digital telephone, and high-speed internet installed on a Monday. We had a high definition receiver for the main TV. The next day, we noticed all of the secondary TV's have very poor picture quality on all of the lower channels. Tech came out Wednesday, said the signal was weak on the secondary TV's and added a signal booster gadjet. On Thursday, we discovered the signal booster knocked out the "on demand" feature, it no longer works. Finally, on Saturday the phone went out and a tech can't come out until Monday. I'm not real happy and satisfied so far. Some of these problems could have been cured if the tech had bothered to check everything before dashing out to the next service call. All of these service calls and time spent on the phone to Cox are unpleasant and aggravating. At this point, I can't give them a good recommendation. I don't care how courteous the service reps are, I want what I'm paying for to work correctly and I want problems fixed quickly. Not this "fix one thing, break something else."

When I first walked into this store I thought that I would be waiting for awhile- there was a long line and only 2 people working. They quickly opened up 3 other counters. The wait was minimal and the representative that helped me was very professional. The store was neat and clean.

They have great services. They offer cable, high speed internet, and phone services and you get a discount if you have all three! I have always had good experiences with cox communication both in person at their stores and over the phone. I have had to have them come out to our home for service also and they always show up on time and get the job done fast.

I have had some trouble with then but all in all they are pretty good. Expensive but good. On some things i wouldn't go back too, like their internet i had a lot of trouble there. but there cable and phone weren't bad

Cox Cable is great. We have been using them since we got to the Phoenix area. We have cable TV, cable internet, and digital telephone through them and we have no complaints whatsoever. Their price for everything is less than using Cox for just cable and internet, and then using another company for your phone. We actually save nearly $50 a month using Cox for everything and we have free long distance.

Cox is such a great company. We have been so happy with them since we moved here. They have wonderful employees, and great service. Their cable internet is FAST and when we had a problem receiving a pay movie channel, they fixed the problem even though we cancelled our subscription to that station, at no fault of Coxs, we just werent enjoying the station as we thought we would. Cox adjusted our cable bill to reflect that we didnt have the use of the station for a week, and gave us credit for it without question. I highly recommend them

When I called to have them install their products, they came out right away. I called on Friday, they came out on Tuesday. Had us all set up, and even when we had a problem with the phone, due to no fault of their own, they came right out and fixed it.

I have always been extemely satisfied with their service! Their internet connection is extremly fast and their telephone service is great. Their customer service is very helpful in solving problems in a timely manner. We have only had internet outages a few times and they have been fixed exceptionally fast. I am very happy with the service they have provided us.
