Rear window got broken of our Subaru Forester
Looked online for reviews and Tru-vu got a good review.
When returned, seal totally different from factory. Subaru seal is fixed on one side of the glass only. Tru-vu seal on both sides. Ugly.
Not informed about this before hand.
Seal also buckles at corners and terminates leaving a gap that water and dirt can get in.
When asked, the owner would not return money, for either the part or the labor. He said to make it like the original window you'd have to buy the whole lens with the seal from Subaru for around $400. This was his reason for using the generic seal. We called and apparently you CAN get the seal alone as a part from Subaru for a cost of $12...
Would not recommend, as the price was even higher than the company Subaru recommended, and the work was lousy, as was the attitude. Our decision to use this company was based on the fact that they could do it sooner, and that it had some good reviews.
If you care about the appearance and functionality of your car window when it needs replacing, look elsewhere!

My wife's Toyota Sienna windshield developed a crack after being hit (apparently) by a stone or something. After reading as many reviews on the interweb as I could find picked Tru-Vu because they were apparently recommended by Toyota dealers.

Called and got a quote from someone who's English frankly was not that good, but the quote was. Went in with some hesitation, had to wait until they opened 1/2 hour late, but then found the owner/operator recognized me from my description of what I needed - the person I talked to had taken perfect notes!

He had the windshield in stock, installed it while I walked down the street and had breakfast, then knocked some money off the price and rounded down. Paid $250, significantly less than I was prepared to pay, for an apparently perfect job.

This was the kind of service you'd expect to find in a small town where everybody knows everybody, and reputation is everything. Friendly, top-notch work at a great price. What more could you ask?

My car was vandalized, the window was broken and I called Tru-Vu. They sent out someone who obviously had very little experience with german cars. They used a very cheap after-market window that never fit properly and the window did not go up into the car for that snug bmw fit after closing the door. When I called Tru-Vu to complain, they were very hostile and asked me why I waited so long to call (even though it had only been a couple of weeks and I have a busy schedule). Since they wanted to charge me more money for a job poorly done, I went somewhere else where I found out that the inside of my door was full of broken glass that was jamming the motor on the window and the pressure on the window was not right since it had been installed improperly. Way to go Tru-Vu. Maybe you should learn how to do the job right?

To make matters worse, they broke the door handle on my car when they installed the window and never told me! It's a shame I did not go to the dealer since my insurance was picking up the tab. Why would anyone want a poor-fitting after-market window when they have insurance?! Seems like Tru-Vu would have realized that!

I called around to a bunch of glass shops in Pasadena, including two recommended by my insurance company, to replace my Prius's windshield. I also called Longo Toyota, just to see.

I was quoted ~$450 by all of the Pasadena shops (using aftermarket windshields), and $1380 by Longo (OEM windshield)! I found Tru Vu in Eagle Rock in these reviews and called them for an estimate. $218 plus tax installed! I asked them at some length about the aftermarket windshield -- the thickness, appearance, etc. They gave very straightforward answers, and given the reviews here, I went with them.

They has the windshield in stock. Indeed it looked identical, except it didn't say "Toyota" on it. They did a beautiful, seamless job installing it. I was in and out in about half an hour. The price was as quoted. They apparently do a lot of Toyotas, with referrals from two local Toyota dealers (!), which is why they had the windshield in stock.

Overall, an unusually good experience for a car repair, at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend these guys.

My car got broken in to which made me sad. I took my car to Tru Vu Auto Glass. They fixed it for much less than I would have imagined, were wonderful and thoughtful to deal with, and fixed a few other things while they were at it. This is old school kind of customer service. These folks are fantastic!

I recently had to replace the passenger window in my car which had been broken into while parked outside my house. I called my regular mechanic and was quoted a price of $220.00. That seemed a little high, so I searched Insider pages and called Tru Vu. I spoke with Felix and he was very polite and helpful. Quote was $130 for the job and that included their coming out to my place and doing the job. I made an appointment for the next morning and their technician showed up right on schedule and had the job done in about 45 minutes. Great experience and I'll definitely give them a 5-star rating.

PROS: Polite, helpful & cheerful. Great pice and excellent work.
CONS: None

I just had a car window replaced by Tru Vu Auto Glass. I am very impressed. If you can contact them before 8:30 in the morning, they can have a replacement window for you by 9:30. If you contact them later, it will be there the next day as early as 8:00am. I was told it would take about an hour and a half to put the new window in. In about 40 minutes I was called and it was done. All the broken glass was cleaned out of my car. My floor mats were even arranged.

Having to replacing a window after being robbed is never a good situation, but if you find yourself in that circumstance I highly recommend Tru Vu.

Just a note, they are in an alley behind the front auto body shop. You cannot see the the business from the street only a small sign. When you pull into the drive way follow the signs around the main office building.

PROS: Great Service, Clean Shop, Returned Phone Calls, Good Price
CONS:
