This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara. I like it so much that it was my pick for graduation day (UCSB)!! My entire family enjoyed it. The garlic bread they serve, as you wait for your food, is fantastic. I always get the Chicken Parmesan w/ Fetticini Alfredo. My mom got the Lasagna and loved it! My dad tried the Butternut Squash (Orvieto) Raviolis and those were magical! I think I'll be getting the raviolis next time!!

Many great menu options but the bacon-wrapped-steak and flourless chocolate dessert would be my picks. Location near the shopping center is also a plus if you want to check out the stores before or after your meal.

I love to take my family to Pascuccis. The food is wonderful, the location is great, and the service is pretty good. Sometimes at night the service can get a little slow however, I think its due to the fact that they are jam packed everynight! Talk to any local and they will tell you that Pascuccis is a great place to frequent!

Really yummy Italian food and desserts! But you can usually only do one or the other because you will be full :) Great ambiance and decent prices.

I love this restaurant. Everytime I come to Santa Barbara I eat here. I was introduced to Pascucci's by a friend and native of SB and it's always popular and busy. I highly recommend the baked brie, roasted garlic, candied walnuts, and pear appetizer ($9.95). The entrees are all great too. Mel ordered a pasta dish w/ chicken, tomatoes, and a rosemary cream sauce and I had the almond-encrusted baked chicken w/ a creamy sauce & capers. This place is so cute on the inside too! Oh and free cheesy garlic bread w/ refills! Pinkberry for dessert is also within walking distance. Yum yum yum!

My husband & I went to Santa Barbara to celebrate our anniversary. I read all the great reviews about Pascucci and couldn't wait to go. Well, to say the least we were horribly disappointed.
We had the tomato bisque soup to start-it wasn't too bad-just a strange flavor and after taste. We mentioned it to our waitress and she took it back.
We both ordered two different pasta dishes that were terrible. There was absolutely no flavor to the sauce. My husbands pasta dish had sausage in it...how do you make a pasta dish with sausage bland?! It was pretty bad. My dish had chicken, artichokes...also completely no flavor. I had to doctor up the dish with so much salt at the table( I never have to salt my food at other restaurants) to even make it edible.
I agree with only one of the comments that I read the bread was good. BUT.....if you are going out to dinner/lunch-you would actually want the meal to be good.
The service was fine, food awful. We will not be back.

Pros: good bread

Cons: horrible pasta dishes-no seasonings being used here

The salads are great. I usually order a half salad, combined with the bread its a perfect lite lunch.

The minute you walk into Pascucci's you will know that garlic is being roasted. If you can tolerate the scent you will love the food. It's fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. They have great espresso if you like coffee (who doesn't?). It's a small restaurant and the dark decor does not help. If you are claustrophobic, good luck!

I went here pretty often with friends when I lived in Santa Barbara. It is pretty reasonable priced and like a lot of Italian places, you get huge portions. So it is pretty easy to share or to bring home some for lunch the next day.

Well, we got seated promptly... in the back at a really small table. We moved ourselves to a booth that was in a half empty room assuming there would be no problem with that. I guess the hostess was not ok with that anyways, so already steaming she seats us somewhere else... In the smallest booth ever, with a half-ass curtain that was right next to my face, and I could not move my right arm due to it being so cramped. I then ate a piece of the bread to start off with, it was pretty good I'll admit. But I left after about 30 seconds of that because of being so uncomfortable. When I left, the hostess looked at me and my fiancee walking out and failed to even ask a question like " is something wrong?" etc... Just looked and let us walk out. I found the situation annoying and disrespectful. I will not return.

If you go to Pascucci be sure to order the Bellagio - it's the best dish on the menu and you won't be disappointed. The service struggles at times, but the location makes up for it.

The seating time took awhile but considering it was a busy night. Our waitress was nice and prompt but didn't take our orders correctly even after repeating it to us. The cooks then made the most bland fettucinne dish I have ever had, it topped macaroni grill as the worst for me! After I told the waitress that it was really bland, she said "oh it's because you only ordered fettucinne, it is naturally a bland dish" I was shocked to hear her say that. Never in my life have I heard that. Fettecinne is a rich flavorful dish albeit too creamy for some but my favorite. She even said if you had ordered chicken it would have been better! I almost laughed but didn't say a word. the worst italian food i've ever had considering the money I paid.

The bread they serve for free is delicious. We had three baskets. The food is excellent. Service was very good. The place is very popular. We went around 3 pm and got a table right away, but almost every table was taken.

As we were walking down state street we saw a long line outside of Pascucci. My boyfriend and I were deteremined to come back the next day and find out what it was all about. We were the first ones to arrive the next day on a Sunday morning, and as first time visitors were seated right in front of the fireplace. Wow talk about romantic seats! Their house garlic bread was soo good. However we still got appetizers and their tomato and mozzarella was just as great. I liked that their menu offered a sampler for many of their different dishes such as ravioli, appetizers, desserts, etc. This way when you're a first timer like us, you can try what they have and then come back for what you liked best. Anyway overall the entree dishes were not so bad. However for the affordable prices on their dishes everything was worth it. We had an appetizer, 2 drinks, and 2 entrees and the total came to around $32! If I lived in Santa Barbara I would definitely make this a lunch spot where I could get an affordable meal and continue with my shopping.

The food is pretty good here but the ambience is the real draw, especially if you can snag one of the booths near the fireplace in the front room. The only drawback is the booths directly face each other so you're a little too close to the other couples. The room in the back is where they send most people; it's very noisy there though, the high ceilings and tile floors echo all the talking. This is probably the most popular Italian restaurant on State Street so I'd recommend making reservations if you can.

Had lunch today @ Pascucci's. The service was very quick, almost too quick, but it was lunch so I can understand. My husband ordered the pizza which was very average. The dough was slightly sweet and nothing special. I had an ahi tuna panini. The ahi tuna claimed to be blackened, but really it was just cooked and rubbed with spices, in that order. It was on the same bread they bring out with the water, so that wasn't so special either. It was very affordable however, compared to other similar venues. Pizza and Pannini were about $9 each.

Absolutely great italian food. Very intense, unlike many places in LA that are simply blend. Their garlic bread can make it for a meal - it's sooooo yummy!!! I had pasta with shrimps and everything was just perfecto. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting SB. Perhaps gets busy in the evening (we showed up at 5pm to beat the Saturday crowd), but there's so much to do on State St. while waiting, that I don't see that being any problem.

Food was not that great, waiters are totally rude and dishonest. Told us to come back so they can seat us outside, waiter didn't even remember us when we returned, and didn't keep his promise of giving us a big table outside. Told us a different story and pushed responsibility to manager. Refused to put together two dinky little tables so it would fit our party three, turned out we had to cram into 1 small table with no arm room. Took forever for the waiter to take our order, water and bread arrived 15 minutes later. Food was cold, NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY.

Owner, Laura Knight has set a high standard of quality and yet her entrees are priced below market. Service is fast and yet not obtrussive. One is allowed to dine ans enjoy. The dishes are unique and a first rate presentation. You can not go wrong having lunch or dinner at Pascucci's...and if there is a line just put your name in and wait...you will not be disappointed.

Located at the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, Pascucci's offers not only an entertaining patio area, but an ambient interior as well. One will be pleasantly surprised to note that in addition to the small fountains and stylish decorations, there lies a charming and affordable menu offering fine Italian dishes at prices that even UCSB college students can afford. Overall, Pascucci's boasts of the essence of the area, and if one is still not sure of that, they will be when they've tried the creme brulee.
