this store has been around hawaii since i was a little boy and I used to go there with my mom and look at rocket and car models while she shopped for fabric, patterns, paint, you name it. and they do seasonal sections as well. anything you need for crafts this is the spot. go there, now.

The reality is, there just aren't that many craft stores on Oahu and so you either have to buy your stuff at Wal-mart or go to one of the very few stores like Ben Franklin. They have a decent selection of all your basic craft supplies. Yes, they cost more than Wal-mart but most places do. The aisles are a little crowded. The staff is average.

Ben Franklin is a little pricey comparing to other craft stores but they carry quality items. The staffs are few but the material is definitely there. They also have lovely display items. I always get inspired by them and want to do my own.
During holidays, most of their items are OUT really quick!

Ben Franklin Crafts have great art products but you could probably get them cheaper elsewhere. Its difficult to find help at this store. You have to look for the employees to a ask question but they dont have a lot of them in the store. I like coming here when there is a sale. Once in a while, they have a sale where they give you get a large paper shopping bag and everything you put in there is 40 or 50 percent off. You will save A LOT of money.
