My boys love Wonderscope. We often go there and spend the entire time in only two rooms. I love that it is a faily small place and, therefore, easy to keep track of kids. The atmosphere is pretty laid-back and it is expected that kids will run and scream and have as much fun as possible. A great place to burn some young energy.

I do not recommend Wonderscope for children over age 5. It really is a good place for little ones, but older childen could get bored.

Wonderscope is a great deal of fun for young children. I would personally recommend Wonderscope for children under 5. Lots of hands on exhibits and educational opportunities for preschoolers, my son loved Wonderscope as a young boy. The exhibits are not what I would call high tech, but they are fun and educational. They have special events and birthday parties...particularly entertaining is the event the night of New Year's Eve.

From the resident pet hamsters to the favorite shadow room and face painting, my kids were entertained and fully engaged. I like the fact that the exhibit areas were self guided and non-prescriptive. My kids had fun shopping in the kid-sized store, creating a work of art and doing their own puppet show. As a mother, I appreciated the fact that I could bring in my own snacks and lunch. I also felt safe with small children because the exhibit areas were set up in separate rooms so it was easy to keep track of them. I definitely recommend buying a membership so you can go back frequently and not worry about seeing everything on one visit...a rainy day must!

This is always a special treat for my kids to go to wonderscope. It's not just a museum, it's a hands on learning experience for the kids. There is something to see and learn for all age groups. There are several exhibits within the museum that are designed for different age groups. There are areas for roleplaying, where the kids can practice their shopping and banking skills, in the communications exhibit they get to actually broadcast the news and the weather and you can get a tape of your kids! there's an exhibit that teaches about space travel and they have a nature and science lab. For the little ones there's a playroom and there's also a story-telling area and puppet shows. The greatest fun for my daughters is the artroom though. They can paint and glue and create art in every possible way, even paint their faces! This is worth the trip every time! Prices are reasonable, but with a family membership you get free admission for the whole family for 1 year!

This museum is set in an old school, it is kind of run down and the exibits are too. However, it is still enjoyable for smaller kids ages 3-6 would enjoy this place the best. Although they gear towards 10 and under....and they have a special room for babies....which is pretty neat, with lots of things to climb on and hide. I still recommend that paradise park is top for this type of museum....our family still finds fun in this place. It is still a must see for KC visitors and dwellers with kids, especially if you are not that close to the newer rival (paradise park) in lee's summit.
