The Crow's Nest is definitely a great place to stay, not only are you literally right across from the water, but it is amazing to stay in a place where they made a replica version of Crow's Nest, so you get to stay in the original Crow's Nest, which makes it feel great knowing this is where it all went down. It is nice and cozy and everything you need is a second away.

We were always made to feel welcome at the "the nest" when we were in Gloucester on our annual cruise.

One year some friends visited with us and stayed in one of the rooms available above the bar. They reported the rooms were not new or fancy but very clean, economical, and handy to everywhere they wanted to visit.

For dinner walk one door up the hill to Delany's Pizza, and one beer later pick up your pizza and eat it at the bar.

OK, so you saw the movie A Perfect Storm and maybe even read the book that describes the watering hole where commercial fishermen would hold court when not on the water. Sure they sell T-shirts, but they are only hanging on a wall in a dark corner back of the bar.The place has not changed their moniker one bit as a place of refuge to weary seamen. The locals warmly welcomed us and invited us to sit a bit and join them for a drink.
