Dr. Deborah Stetler's practice is centrally located in downtown Boulder. A top-notch professional MD, Dr Stetler is professional and compassionate. Exceptionally knowledgeable about new medications. She actually listens to her clients' needs.
Dr Doug Terry REALLY cares about your health. He's got the most extensive resume I've seen, including experience with Olympic athletes and teams. He knows his stuff! Dr Terry and his staff sincerely care about everyone who walks through their doors.
Their care stems from a strong Christian faith. Dr Terry and staff express this love for everyone; they do not discriminate between Christians and non-Christians.
PROS: Excellent Care Across The Board
Unbelievable ice-cream! Cold Stone is good just about anytime, except when you're full. Choose from any of their candy, fruit or nut toppings, and have them mix it with the ice-cream flavor of your choice. Same concept as Dairy Queen's Blizzard, except Cold Stone hand-mixes on a cold stone slab. One of those Boulder must-do's. Even in January.
Boulder Book Store is no compromise. An independent, franchise, the Boulder Book Store is able to carry both mainstream and alternative authors and titles. You can find your Barne's and Noble's standard titles, as well as local authors. Boulder Book Store also hosts regular readings by locals and traveling authors. They'll order anything the don't carry.
Ok, so IHOP isn't a place you'll want to go if you're looking for organic, Boulderite food. But it's the best place if you need some hang-over food, are on the budget, or just need to be reminded what straight-up American restaurant food is all about. Major pluses: excellent service and bottomless pot of coffee.
Boulder's Walnut Cafe has the best breakfast around! They have menu items for both health-driven and grease-hungry eaters. My favorite breakfast is the banana cornbread pancakes. They're fulfilling, nutritious and yummy! The Walnut Cafe offers a hip, Boulder-ish ambience. The only drawback is the crowd.
Turley's is an excellent alternative to super-chains like Chili's, TGI Friday's, IHOP, etc. While still a chain, Turley's offers lots of healthier, organic, wholesome options for American favorites. They also have the best soy lattes around!
University Bikes provides the most comprehensive road and mountain bike selection around. This is without question a one-stop shop. Professional cyclists come to get tune-ups and chat with the employees. Parents come with their kids to ride U-Bike's famous Dumbo the Elephant. There's something for everyone, and everything a cyclist of any calibre needs.
Some of the strongest coffee in Boulder! Even the house decaf will give the regular coffee drinker a buzz. What does the Trident do best? They provide a literary atmosphere. Check out their bookstore for both mainstream and obscure authors and subjects.
The Boulder location runs smooth as a whistle. Their prices run comparable to local competitors, with some items run cheaper than Wild Oats. Whole Foods is the place to shop if you want the biggest selection out there. Just be sure you're ok with a crowd, because there's always a crowd at Whole Foods.
PROS: Fabulous selection, low prices
CONS: Always Crowded
