The "new" Como Town (it's been 2 years now I think) is great for younger kids. There are rides & some areas to climb around. Ticket prices are reasonable, especially if you buy the ticket package. I got some discount coupons on their website. When my guys are older I'll probably get an annual pass - it's $70.
I did this for a friends bachelorette party - it was really fun! It's a "hop-on-hop-off" style, meaning that you buy a ticket & you can get off at any stop & get back on when another one comes. The driver also tells stories & history.
I picked it up on Nicolette Mall - and I know St. Anthony Main is another easy place to find it.
Tickets are $17 adults and $12 for kids.
I enjoyed the maze & hayride. We also did the dinner with the comedy show - it was a lot of fun. I also dressed up! The cons are that it's very busy & a bit pricey.
I went here to show my kids the train that runs in this flower shop because they have a such an impressive display at the Minnesota State Fair. I had a coupon for roses, received at the Fair, but was unimpressed with the quality. They were small buds & browned.
I had my nails done here for my wedding a few years ago. The pedicure hurt and the French Manicure on both my toenails & fingernails sloppy. I do see 1/2 off coupons in the "bulk mail" ads sent out in St. Paul, so it may be worth a try as there is more than one person giving manicures.
I love the Ridgedale Library. There are kids toys for them to play with, well organized books with a good selection. Also more than average DVD & CD selection. Storytime for Pre-Schoolers is great.
There is also a coffee shop in the building as well as a small "Friends of the Library" used book shop.
The Eden Prairie Library is my favorite in Twin Cities area. My kids and I drive from St. Paul because they have a great kids section. Loads of toys/puppets to play with, well organized books with a lot of selection, many CD's and DVD's.
My kids and I love to peruse the book bargains here. I usually pick up some old cooking magazines and books. We also like to buy cheap children's books here. Plus the proceeds go towards the library which we are regular users of!
I have my hair cut & colored on occation here as a treat (versus going to the local hair academy). Prices at Details are around $35-50 for a haircut.
I also had a 1-hour full body massage here for Mother's Day last year. Sheer bliss!! Wonderful - but expensive - at $100.
I've been with Steve Wood, State Farm Insurance Agent, for both car and home for almost 10 years. He and his small staff of 2 have always been friendly and helpful.
