The Goddard School
My son has been here for almost 2 years since he was 12 weeks old. He has been through the infant, pre-toddler and toddler rooms and will soon be in "get set". I have found the teachers and director (the recent one) to be great and very attentive to the children. They get to know each child and help them excel and grow individuals. I am very pleased with the care and know he will be well cared for their. I'm sorry the other poster had trouble, but I haven't had problems - they are understanding if you have concerns. I feel they teach a great deal to the students including self-help skills like being responsible, kind, washing hands, cleaning up, etc. They do art projects, read and sing every day. There is a "leave" policy which is clearly stated in the handbook you are given when you enroll.
Country Clipper Salon
This is a classic barber shop. Great for the guys in the family including the children. Very personable atmosphere and accomodating hours. Offers daytime appointments (with a discount) and then reopens in the evenings for those who work (like my husband). Appointments required. My husband is super picky about his hair and has been very pleased with the cut of his hair, time spent there and cost. my neighbor goes there with his two sons and has always been happy - the boys actually don't complain about going! Haircuts are $10 and under I believe.
PROS: Price, Service, Location
CONS:
Victoria House Bed & Breakfast
This bed and breakfast in spring lake is the perfect place for a little getaway. Whether staying during the hot summer season or just a nice weekend in the spring or fall, the accomodations here are perfect. The rooms are nicely decorated, well kept and very clean. Private bathrooms are available. The food and treats are wonderful, perfect flavoring and temperature. The gathering room allows you to play games, sit and have a drink or mingle with other guests. Located within walking distance of the beach and little shops, you can easily get everywhere without driving. Great place when you just need a little break.
Sterling Home Inspections
Sterling home inspection performed the inspection on the home we recently purchased. He was recommended by our realtor and was available for under $500. My husband and I both have families in construction, so we are pretty familar with the items that should have been looked at/inspected. In addition, my father, a builder, attended the home inspection. I feel the inspector had to be coached to look at some things..."aren't you going to look at...." and told if we saw something "...did you see....". For the price, he did a decent inspection - the house was fairly new anyway, but I'm not sure I would be confident in his inspection of an older home.
Lia's Hair Styling
I used to have my hair done here when I went to school at Virginia Tech. From kids to college students to professors to girls to guys, Lia did an excellent job on everyone's hair. She catered to your individiual hair type and style, always following what you wanted. She also can create a new style for you. She talks to you as she cuts your hair, taking an interest in getting to know her clientele. The prices are reasonable for the area on both hair care & supplies. Does excellent work on all hair types.
Genuardi's
We use to always go to this cleaners when we lived in Royersford. Their prices are very reasonable for the area and they offer discounts if you brought items in on Wednesdays. You can tell them when you need your items back by and they are always done and waiting for you. The clothes do not have a heavy "dry-cleaned" scent when you get them back. We also had some pants hemmed here and we were very pleased with the work.
Pin Cushion
If you are looking for that hard to match button, this is your place. They have more buttons in one store than I have ever seen! Also have a large selection of fabrics and craft supplies for all your craft projects including yarn, needles, sewing supplies, needlepoint, etc. Small, older store but when you just can't seem to find what you need - they will have it here. Also one of the few places in the heart of Vineland where you can get your craft/sewing needs.
Rosenthal, Gilbert A - Wallace & Todd
I work for a civil engineering design firm in the Philadelphia suburbs and we are working with WRT on a large project. Their staff is pleasant to work with, fairly prompt on completing tasks when promised, attend meetings & provide suggestions, comments, etc to help you in your work. They return phone calls and will work to find the answer if they aren't sure. Their design work is great and they understand the engineering constraints of a job and are willing to work their architectural design around it; Great ideas, perspectives, etc, and responsive, interactive and professional as well.
Barcelona
My mom is a teacher and often goes here for her supplies. I often go with her in the summer to get bulletin board supplies, chart paper, workbooks, flash cards, etc. They also carry name plates, award certificates, pencils, basic school supplies, the brio line, and educational materials for preschool through high school. They have a wide selection of materials, so generally you can always find what you are looking for. The prices are what you would expect to pay on average.
Robert K Foster Inc
My dad is a building contactor in South Jersey and they routinely use Foster Plumbing for all of their plumbing needs. Foster's is always on-time, reasonably priced and very professional. Work is always done well the first time and within the time provided. Wouldn't use anyone else. Great to support a small local business.
