Rebecca Tanner in Sanford has been in practice for years. She has a nice - but dated shop. Rebecca is a landmark in the area and she has a large clientele. I have been there twice but left with the not the warmest feeling of all. She is a nice person - do not get me wrong. But the shampoo and cut all seemed very hurried. Usuaully I relax and fall asleep hen someone is working on my head - but this was a rough shampoo and the cut was not the best in the world. The cost oif the cut was $12.
We are very pleased with the purchase we made through Pool Choice and Spa. They were highly professional and very nice to work with. Chris, the manager, really knows his stuff and he did NOT try to talk us up to a higher priced model. The installation time was 3 days from start to end. There was a minor leak - but they came back and fixed the problem the same day that they were called. I would recommend them to anyone!
Kristen is an excellent attorney. Her specialty is tax law. In this era of tax law reform - and an unfriendly user Internal Revenue Service it is important that you have someone on your side who has a wealth of knowledge in to the process. She worked for several years for the IRS - now she helps persons who are having problems with that organization. She is very helpful in these type of cases. I feel she rates at least 4 stars.
It's always hard to sit down and talk to a psychiatrist - let alone admit it to anyone. Dr. Jones is not your typical psychiatrist. Although he does have the stereotypical couch and box of Kleenexes present, he uses a a positive approach to counseling. He likes the patient to be present with the curtains open and the sun shining in. Instead of starting out talking about a person's childhood and what went wrong, he takes the time to ask a patient what is going on WELL in their lives. Dr. Jones is a breath of fresh air.
What a neat name for a great company. A locksmith owned by Raleigh native John Smith. A Lock Smith is a good company which does not charge LARGE exorbidant rates for people who have after hour calls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In fact we did have a billing error - we left a message -and received a follow up call 5 minutes later saying they had found the mistake. I was alos very impressed with John in that he was neatly attired. He takes his job VERY seriously.
We recently used Pullen Dry Wall to help finish off our basement. The company showed up when promised and did reasonable work. The main frustration was that the entire crew which was onsite at our house - only spoke English - so besides "Thank You" and "Hello" - it was rather difficult to communicate. I am happy with the over all service though and the work ethic of the employees and would use them again.
Oak Park Veternary Hospital is convinentially located on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh - near Crabtree Valley Mall. They have a no appointment necessary policy which has both its positive and negative points. The facility does accept 'pet insurance' which is a relatively new concept for area clinics. They are open until 8:00 on Wednesday and Thursday evenings which makes it VERY nice for those who work during the day.
John Cotten seems to be a great guy - but once you have signed on the dotted line and gotten a bond --- BUYER be ware! I had a friend who was arrestedand we had to get a bond for him. Mr. Cotten appeared to be a great guy and overly friendly. Buty once the bond was advanced - he called daily making sure that I (as his creditor) was still in town - even before the amount was due! I really believe Loan Shark is the best word to describe his services.
AdventureLanding in Raleigh is a great place to take the family. The emphasis here is on FAMILY. Their is a toddler service for families with small children. The little ones can play in a plastic ball room while the other members of the family are in the race cars, on the water slide or in the arcade. Compared to carnivals and fairs - the prices are quite reasonable at this facility. Also - for the hungry ones - the park has cotton candy, hot dogs ice cream and sno balls. Adventure Landing is truly a place the WHOLE family can enjoy.
Although Critter Country is a very small shop, it contains a lot of things you would expect at a big Chain such as PetSmart or PetCo. The owner and his associates are extremely helpful. They are quite knowledgebal and enjoy sharing their knowledge with customers. They offer Aquarium classes free one Saturday per month. They also offer dog obedience courses. The prices are only slightly higher than at the larger competitors.
