Francis Camera Shop
The people who work here are very knowledgably about what they sell: cameras. If you have a question, they dont go to the back and ask another employee, they know the answer, even if you ask a very difficult question. Francis Camera Shop sells a lot of cameras (film and digital) and supplies. Although they know a lot, it makes the rest of us feel left out. It may seem like they tire of us especially when we ask questions that they feel are simple. They prices are kind of high so I would prefer to buy online.
Honolulu Zoo Society
The Honolulu Zoo was never fun every time I went. It always smelled funny but thats because of the elephants. The animals were hardly out when I came to see their exhibit. They were always hiding behind a rock or something sleeping. I dont think they enjoyed being looked at by strangers everyday, but who would. The only great place to be is at the petting zoo. You can pet them and they provide food for the animals there so you can feed them. Its fun for the children. Be careful there though because the ducks may bite.
Waikiki Aquarium
This place is really beautiful. It is a great place for all ages but especially for the kids. They can learn a lot. Each exhibit comes with a description. The sights are astounding. Its not like a tank in the wall for all the fishes. The walls are unique. When you see the place youll be amazed. There are many different fishes and some animals come form different countries not just Hawaii. They have see urchins, jelly fishes, corals, sea horses Admission is cheap as well.
Fun Factory
This place is fun to hang out with friends or to go on a date but I dont think they sell food. The games are fun but most of them are for the kiddies. They have arcade games for the older generation. You can win tickets from the non arcade games to redeem prizes such as stationary or even a remote control car (toy of course). Most of the prizes are very cheesy and most of the electronic items wil break easily, but it's just fun.
Sea Life Park Hawaii
I love the dolphins here. They are the major attraction. All the sea creatures are beautiful. There is no such thing as an ugly animal here. If you get a chance you should see the dolphin show. They do try to get you to buy a lot of souvenirs because tourists always come here although its about a one hour drive from Honolulu to there.
Don Quijote USA Co LTD
This store sells a lot of Oriental items such as supplies, food, and dolls, which are really cute. It is pretty expensive but thats because they have to be imported from Japan. You cant really get them anywhere else on the island. They also have a one dollar store, which includes many things from Japan such as stationary, beauty tools, and containers for one dollar.
Fisher Hawaii
I think that they have a wide selection of items to buy. You know how at office supplies store you have to buy a whole ream or all those pens in a box. Here, you can buy them separately if you did not want to have extras. The staff is friendly and cooperative. They even sell electronics such as digital cameras, computers, scanners, and watched. It's pretty much a warehouse, but you get amazing prices.
Kenneth's Photography Inc
They used to take my school portrait when I was in school. They still do school pictures. The quality is so so but they are friendly. I would like them to pre cut the wallets. It would have made the pictures nicer especially since my school did not have a yearbook. I know the students would have enjoyed it, since they children dont cut straight.
Ace Portrait Studio Inc
The quality of their images is not that great. They have special effects put into some of the images, but they look kind of corny. I would prefer the pictures without the special effects. It does get pricy and I dont think they print the images on quality paper. Also, they put the name of their company on the photo which is distracting.
Ishikawa Photography Incorporated
The people who work at this business are the friendliest people I have met. They accommodate my needs and their process is good, although the quality is not as great as I expect it would be. Still, you get what you pay for. You can request props and they have a large selection of backgrounds.
