I have done business with other's but The Travel Gallery by far is the best travel agency around. they are small, locally owned and family oriented and owned. The service is excellent, they are personal and friendly. We recently went on a cruise booked through them, and they included extras for us like champagne in our room and special seating at our dinners. the people at the travel gallery really care. They called after we got back and asked how is was. they truly are the best to deal with for anything - flights, all arrangements or just hotels.
Diamond Jim's restaurant is really good. I have only been there for breakfast food and it is delicious. the only problem is that it's so good, it's packed. Almost every time I have been there there is no where to sit. the restaurant is tiny, and the tables are definatley crammed in there. the food is great, they have potato mixes that they make (mexican etc.) that are to die for. They come heaped over the plate and are very reasonably priced. the food is typical greasy breakfast food but is yummy! I would recommend eating here, but don't be too hungry and be prepared to wait to sit down.
This hotel is super nice. I actually stayed here on my wedding night. The front desk person was super helpful, especially with us coming in super late(after the wedding). they let us in and welcomed us in a really nice way. Our room was spacious and had a great view of the water, with our own little deck and nice fireplace. the bathtub was wonderful, bed comfortable and fluffy, and service was amazing. they are luxury priced, and you pay for the view of the water, but it is well worth it. IF you get up earlty enough, they provide a breakfast for you and the local paper is delivered to your door. Highly recommended!
Nails by Karen is a super small business... and you get that feeling right when you walk in. There are two people that work there, one of them is Karen herself. They do pedicures and manicures, and all other nail needs - polish, tips, fills etc. They are a bit hard to find, but very worth it if you want the smaller feel. The pedicure I had was to die for - very focused on me and I didn't feel rushed. They have a nice chair and a nice sitting area while you are waiting. the prices are very comparable, and you feel pampered as ever coming out of there. I highly recommend them!
This restaurant is super yummy! Though it is a bit pricey, you are paying for what you get. It is more of a dinner show type place, where you sit around a grill and the cook is your waiter. They cook in front of you and they really put on a show. I would highly recommend this place for a date or special occasion - birthday, anniversary etc. Keep in mind that if you don't bring 6 people, the chances of you sitting with people you don't know is pretty high, as they like to fill up the seats. the sushi is wonderful too.
Paper dreams is one of the places I like to go and browse on a rainy day. They offer many fun gift items like fun napkins, lotions, household stuff etd. They have a huge supply of fun cards, lots of paper items, journals, notebooks invitations etc.
I think that they are a little bit on the expensive side. They have everything and it is a very fun store to shop in. They offer candy, delicious fudge and so much more!
If you're up for it - this is a fun place to go. They have metal shelves lined with stuff. That's it. Stuff. In addition to flower seeds, bulbs, soil and such, they also sell pet supplies and PETS!! When you walk in you will see bunnies, rats, and hear chiping coming from the back. This is a unique store that if you are looking to burn some time and are not allergic to animals, this is the place to go. They are cheap, and you could spend hours looking over the stuff on the shelves.
If you're the type that likes a nice place to go for a tan, this is not for you. City Gym does not specialize in tanning, so you are going into a gym facility, using their tanning beds, and then leaving. It is not an "experience".
That said, if you're on a tight budget, and white as paper, this is the place to go. They offer tanning cards for cheap and you can get 10, 15 or 20 tans for a great price. Sometimes they run a 20 for $20 deal.
I would absolutely love this store except for the gigly girls that work there. I can barely stand to go into the store. They act like it's their own personal slumber party.
Besides that, I do managae to make my way in there because of the array of scrapbooking supplies that they have in there! They have things that I didn't know they made and then I see them and I have to have them!
Their prices are comparable, though you can usually find the same products at different stores for half the price if you have a coupon.
Fabric Expressions is in a weird place. Not where you would expect to find a fabric store. I have found that this store caters more to older ladies who are into quilting. I liked the products that they have, they have really nice fabric, but again, it is geared towards quilting. They have really nice workers, and fair prices. The store is quite small, and is jam packed with fabric, sewing supplies, sewing machines and such. If you are looking for quilting fabric - this is the place for you!
