This miniature golf course is awesome for anyone who is looking for some cheap fun. The mini golf course only costs about $2, and it's not very well lit and it's very small but for $2 what do you expect? It's good fun if you go with friends and are able to laugh about it at the same time. It's definitely worth making the trek out to just for a cheap fun adventure. The real golf course looks good too!
This small park can be found nestled behind Providence High School, across the street from NBC studios. It's small with a little playground and a little stream running through it with bridges to cross. It has a dirt path through it that measures 1/4 mile for those interested in using it for running purposes. Lots of trees and benches, a good place for a picnic. However it's often quite noisy because the freeway runs right beside it.
This place has a lot of amenities that you learn about in a brochure when you join. They have a ton of equipment, and lots of tvs you can watch while you work out. The windows from the 4th floor with the equipment look out on the city which is nice. They have basketball courts with open court time, and even punching bags too in a separate area. The parking situation could be better, but parking for the mall is right across the street.
The Grove is a great place to go to be able to walk outdoors down a shopping strip. It's a great atmosphere to bring a family to or go on a date. It doesn't have many stores but those they do have are huge, like the 2 story Abercrombie and Fitch. They also have an amazing movie theater, though it's pricey. Parking can get expensive, even after a validation, which you shouldn't forget to get. Maggiano's has great Italian food there!
This is my favorite mall, even though it's not the closest one to me. It's huge, and 2 stories in an L shape. It has everything from Macy's to Coach to Forever 21 to Victoria Secret. The food court is large and has all types of international food, though there are also a McDonald's and a Carl's Jr in this mall as well. It's conveniently located near both the 5 and the 134 freeway and is always easy to find parking as long as it's not the day after Thanksgiving.
This mall is a safe place to be comfortable dropping your kids off to spend some time, without needing to worry about them. It's small where malls are concerned, but it's conveniently located in downtown Burbank. It has both larger department stores such as Macy's and Sears, but also tiny one a kind stores too. It has a movie theater inside, and two are within close walking distance of only a couple blocks as well.
This is definitely the biggest one I've been to, as it goes back very deeply with 3 different sections. When they have their semi-annual sale, the entire store is on sale and it's glorious. They always have plenty of salespeople wandering around, that are very friendly but won't take no for an answer when they want to measure you (as is normal).
This is a big Express store as far as they go, with a great selection of everything from tank tops and shirts to their wonderful jeans to dressy clothing as well. It used to be more reasonably priced but things have been getting more expensive as they try to be more and more upscale. If you get on their mailing list they send $15 off coupons which come in handy.
This store is best for going when you're in need of a formal dress, and maybe not best for buying one (because then guaranteed you won't be the only one wearing it) but good for getting an idea of what you want. They have cute casual clothes too, which range from average price to a little bit expensive as they've been changing the brands they carry. They're always having a sale too, with lots of racks in the back of everything from shirts to dresses.
Compared to other stores, this one is very large and well stocked. However, things are usually all over the place, and it's hard to find an employee if you need help reaching something or finding something either. They have a great selection of everything from womens casual clothes to formal clothes, and a lot of accessories as well. They usually have a couple sale racks, that are worth looking through if you even find one thing you like. Lots of dressing rooms.
