I work in old sac and am a frequent customer of happy pita. I definitely recommend there gyros. They are the best that I have had. The prices are a good deal as well. They have alot of other Mediterranean food but I havent had tried it. Great place for a meal in old town
PROS: good gyros
I love this place for lunch. The sandwiches are great and a staple of midtown. They also have hamburgers that are pretty good. I heard that they might have closed but have not confirmed this yet.
PROS: to many to list
CONS: might have closed
Definately different and worth checking out. They do get busy on weekends so weekdays are the best time to go. The food is above average and the service is great. Great place to start the night at.
PROS: good food, great atmosphere
Plum blossom is a good place to visit after a night out. They generaly stay open till 2 am on weekends. They have a wide assortment of chinese dishes and pastrys to offer. I like generals chicken personaly. There is usually enough left to take home for a snack the next day.
PROS: Good food, open late
Fanny Anns is actualy a bar that happens to serve good food. A main staple of old sacramento. The food is great and loved by many. They have daily specials like burger madness for 3.99 that I think is a great value. It's definately worh a visit when your in old sac
PROS: to many to list
This place is barely noticeable but worth eating at. I usually go for chicken and fries (don't like fish) and it is pretty good. The best time is in the afternoon and it has never been too crowded. The seating is somewhat limited so it's probably best for a takeout lunch.
PROS: good food, somewhat looked over
CONS: easy to miss
I had the pleasure of eating there last night with some friends. The food is average and is priced a little above normal. The main atteaction is the beer. I did however notice they don't offer pitchers which is somewhat of a letdown. There are so many kinds of beer that it's hard to choose. If your looking for a place to gather at this will do nicely.
PROS: beer, nice atmosphere
CONS: no pitchers
The food is excellent and definately a good value. the staff is friendly and attentive. Their aligator po-boys are awsome as well as the sweet tea.The atmosphere is also worth the trip. I live close by and try to eat there once a week. Only con is the lack of parking.
PROS: awsome food, people
CONS: lack of parking
