We stopped in Dillon for the afternoon. It was a cold, rainy day in June and my daughter needed a jacket. Who would have thought we would buy three. My 14 year old got a suede jacket lined in acrylic pile for $25.00. The employees were friendly and helpful, willing to chat about the area. Great prices, good merchandise, friendly staff, what more could you want?
We came upon this store by accident a couple of years ago, and when we found ourselves in Colorado a couple of months ago we made a point of going back. It sits by a river and dam, and has a lookout tower you can climb up for a great view. They sell the usual nicknacks, jewelry, Minnetonka moccasins and shoes, and has the best price for T-shirts we found in the region. As we were driving and nearing the store a bear came running down a hill and ran across the road just ahead of us. It's a great place to see wildlife.
Rocky Mountain Traders is a nice place to shop for Native American jewelry and pots. They have a nice selection. The clerks are friendly share information about the area.
The Spruce House has a nice collection of Christmas merchandise. They sell both traditional and unique ornaments, some with Native American influence.
Donut Haus is a great place to stop for a quick bite to tide you over until dinner. The bakery and cookies are very good. Prices are about what you would expect in a tourist town.
We came to Arbys for dinner with three hungry children. The five of us each ordered three menu items and our bill was under twenty dollars. The food was average. The restaurant was clean as were the bathrooms. A great deal for a quick dinner.
American Girl has a limited selection of very nice clothing for girls and their dolls. At this store at the outlet mall you can find some very good sales, but you can't always find what you want.
I was glad when Suzy's opened a small retail shop attached to their building on Bolivar. Now I don't have to travel too far for great cheesecake. Suzy's has a variety of delicious cheesecakes reasonable priced. Our favorites are the chocolate amaretto and Irish cream.
Hobo has a decent variety of floor and wall tile at excellent prices. They carry both traditional tile and vinyl flooring tiles as well as some Do-it-yourself wood flooring. If you're on a tight budget this is the place to shop for your flooring.
Weiland is very skilled with drywall. They work quickly and efficiently and do thorough clean up when they have finished the job. The finished product is excellent.
