I like Sherwin Williams paint because most times it covers in one coat. They will custom mix any color if you bring in a color swatch. The staff are knowledgeable about their products and when primers are needed. They can supply everything you need to complete your painting project.
Everdry waterproofed our basement several years ago. With the recent heavy rains in August I was curious to see whether our home would be impacted. We had no problems. They installed internal and external drain tiles and two sump pumps and we have had a dry basement since. Also, the work is warrantied forever for a small fee ($25.00 a year) which is transferable if we sell our home. If we ever have problems with the waterproofing they will repair it for free - forever.
When my windshield was damaged by flying debris I wanted it fixed quickly. Auto glass specialists came out to my home with a new windshield and installed it on site. They did an excellent job of installation and I haven't had any problems since.
I have been coming here for years, initially to buy a vacuum, and subsequently for cleaning, repair, and supplies. The gentleman who owns the business does the repair himself. He does repairs quickly and reasonably. He sells used vacuums which are very good. I bought a Windtunnel from him five or six years ago and it works great. Why pay double for new if you can get a good used for a fraction of the price.
I bought a Singer basic sewing machine here several years ago and since then have taken it in for cleaning and a rare repair. I got the machine back in excellent working order. I also recently bought a new serger here and am very satisfied. I like the ability to try out a machine before you buy it. The staff are very helpful.
I have come here several times for parts to repair various appliances. When my washing machine broke my husband was able to take it apart and find the problem (belt). 100,000 parts had the belt in stock and we were able to fix the washer within the hour for a lot less than a service call. The store building is bare bones, nothing fancy, but they do carry a large inventory.
Second Wind has a large selection of exercise equipment. I understood from advertising that they had both new and used, but that seems not to be the case. The new equipment is high quality, but they have high prices to go with it. After looking extensively we ended up finding what we needed for a lot less elsewhere. The staff was helpful, but that alone is not worth a couple hundred dollars.
I shop discount liquor for wine and spirits because of their selection. Their prices are competitive and wines are grouped and labeled to help the consumer find what he or she wants. The clerks are helpful if you are unable to find something.
Walmart Optical has great packages for children's glasses. The prices are some of the best I have found. My children have gotten glasses here since the '90's. Between all three of them we've purchased more than a dozen pairs of glasses here. We have never had a problem with prescriptions being made correctly, and they are usually ready in a few days.
This Walmart is cleaner and more well organized than the one near 27th and Oklahoma. Since it is a supercenter you can get both department store and grocery items. The one stop shopping saves on gas. They have competitive prices on food, but their selection of clothing leaves something to be desired.
