Being transplanted NYers my family had a really hard time finding pizza we enjoyed out here. Then we found Rays and it is really very good. It is almost exactly like the little divey pizza places we were used to back east right down to the Yankee worship and lousy customer service and attitude of the counter staff. But it's about the pizza and that's what brings us back again and again.
I finally made it to Matt's last Sunday. I'd heard a lot about the food and even more about the wait at this little breakfast spot downtown that seats maybe 20 people at a time. Arriving around 10 am our wait was under an hour and the food was delicious. The ingredients were super fresh and the servings generous. The service was friendly and efficient. I would really recommend this place as a special breakfast treat if you have the time -and stomach- to wait.
My husband has taken me to the Pointe twice now to celebrate special occasions and each time was a wonderful, memorable experience. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent but the thing we go for is the view! I must also say that for a very fancy restaurant it doesn't feel at all stuffy or snobby- it is refined yet comfortable.
Market Bistro is one of my family's favorite places to grab take out from. The food is always fresh. I particularly love the make your own salads and the tomato garlic soup is a must try. They have pizza and salad specials in the evening that are a great deal. The # Two (that's really what it's called) is a yummy gourmet pizza. A must try!
