Licks is really great. They have great gourmet style ice cream and some fun candy as well. They are located conveniently on Main Street near Grand and next to the Daily Grind. I love their cake batter ice cream and it has a great quaint atmosphere.
This is a fantastic way to get your Daily Grind fix while in a hurry. Hopefully you're not in too much of a hurry because they're not the fastest drive through. It's a one man show so you're waiting for her to take orders and make drinks. Great drinks!
Many of my friends enjoyed Emerald, as opposed to New Garden, because the location was so convenient for them. I completely disagree. I have gone on a few occassions to hang out but I will no longer order food. It seems a bit dirty and the food just isn't as good.
Wow, what a dive! This is probably the lowest class place in Pullman, which is saying something. They have super cheap eats and drinks but I'm not sure that makes it worth the trip. Spend two bucks more and go somewhere else.
The Daily Grind is the perfect college town hang out. You will find the majority of the customers with lap tops and/or school projects. It is great for some quiet away from your own house to do some homework and it works even better for group project meetings. The Italian Sodas are wonderful and the people behind the counter actually seem to really know what they're doing. I believe it is a very scrutinized hiring process and it's not easy to get through to be hired. You have to try this place out for a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
The Coug has definitely got some great history and it's written all over the walls...literally. It is tiny so beware of lines or very tight crowds on the weekends but it's so much fun for a relaxing afternoon, lunch or dinner on non-peak nights. They don't have liquor and they aren't very fancy but it's a Cougar tradition through and through.
This was always one of my favorite hang outs in college. They always have a great game on and the bartenders are fantastic. The food is amazingly good as well. It is a fun atmosphere to watch a Cougar away game (although beware of the crowd and get there early for a seat) or to watch someone try the beer challenge (there are I believe 27 beers on tap and you start with the lightest and go to the darkest - if you do them all it's free). This is a definite must for laid back Pullman bars.
Since this is the only legal gambling in Pullman it doesn't have much competition but it's fun none the less. Beware of the loss of time. It's very easy to walk out of this place and not realize the sun came up 3 hours ago. It's unique fun in a small town.
Goin' to Tams! Tams is such an interesting place. They are great for breakfast and even a little lunch but they aren't open after like 2PM. I've never figured that one out. On a sunday brunch, especially over busy weekends, they can be packed with a line out the door. The food is classic and good.
I wouldn't exactly call this Italian food but it's pretty good none the less. The location is great right in downtown Pullman and the large picture windows make for great people watching. The style is order at the counter and then they deliver it to your table so it's not too formal. The onion rings are great!!
