Coffee Shop has a pretty good brew, and their baked goods are pretty fresh. It's connected to bracketts, and you can still see some old-time loyal customers at the counter.
This is the best mexican food around! I know that you can't depend on good mexican in a fisherman's town, but this place takes the tortilla. Only downside is that one time we went there only to find it closed randomly - AND it was on a friday night! Boo.
I frequently take the Commuter Rail from Boston into Rockport, and luckily this DD is right at the station. The staff is always nice, and the restrooms are always open and patrons are welcome to use them whether they purchase or not.
Helmut's KNOWS their strudel! They have tons of varieties, and other pastries that range from sweet to savory. Another fun tid-bit, the singer Paula Cole (anyone who watched Dawson's Creek knows who she is) is from Rockport and used to work here as a teenager!
This place is INBELIEVABLE! It's a small family run business but they make the most delectable and unique cupcakes and whoopie pies. You can't pick just one, and almost everything is enormous. Plus, they have cupcake boxes that ensure you're treats don't roll around or get ruined. Love love love them.
This place has some yummy paninis and sandwiches, although it's not really the most desired fare on the neck. Usually people go right for seafood, but those that oppose it should head here.
This used to be a full blown souvenir and clothing shop with hawaiin stuff, now they do a lot of food. It's definitely something different than the usual seafood and quite frankly, its fun!
This little bistro is located right between Front and Back beach on...beach street ironically enough. It's a small place, but they serve hot dogs, burgers AND smaller versions of seafood plates. Perfect for stopping in mid-beach day for lunch!
We would go here all the time as kids when all the places in rockport were too busy or crowded. It became a little favorite of ours for awhile, even though the food isn't always the BEST quality. But hey, I like dive diners and such so we were all pretty happy.
This shop gets overlooked sometimes because its near the end of the neck, but even if you're sick of shopping still go. Their jewelry is the most reasonable priced -- which at times can be difficult on the tourist-crazed Bearskin Neck.
