Candlelite is an affordable and great place to go whether you have the whole weekend or just a couple hours. They have hourly rate rooms downstairs with large deep water filled jaccuzzis, or they have nice rooms with large beds that are great for overnights and weekend stays. I have enjoyed both very much. The staff is nice and helpful, and it is a nice place to go to get away from the noisy city, since it is located on a nice quiet road. There is a cute area to walk around with a little gazebo and flowers, etc, and overall my experiences (28-30 stays have been wonderful.
This is by far one of the most amazing Resorts in Gloucester. You are overlooking the beautiful ocean, and there is room for any kind of event. The rooms are gorgeous and the staff are extremely kind and polite. One of the best places to watch a sunset.
Carriage House was my "home away from home" when I was first in-between apartments from Gloucester to Western Ma. They always had great prices, ample space, and friendly personalities, which made me go back time and time again. The housekeeping staff always were on top of their tasks and I never went without fresh towels or clean linens. The prices are affordable and you are right next to tons of stores, restaurants, and shops.
The Crow's Nest is definitely a great place to stay, not only are you literally right across from the water, but it is amazing to stay in a place where they made a replica version of Crow's Nest, so you get to stay in the original Crow's Nest, which makes it feel great knowing this is where it all went down. It is nice and cozy and everything you need is a second away.
My children and I have gone to Northside Creamery many times and each time we have a wonderful time. Their ice cream is so delicious, and there are SO many flavors, which makes it all the more worthwhile. I will continue to get ice cream dishes and cones from Northside. We love it there.
The whole family and friends can have an amazing whale watching experience as I did with mine. It was so much fun and worth every penny. Their ships have areas around the whole outside for sitting and there is ample room for other boaters to walk past. There is also a large inside area if you choose to be in doors. I look forward to taking many more voyages out to sea to look for beautiful whales. It is so peaceful and relaxing.
Captain Bill and Sons is a great place to go for whale watching. They are very attentive to let you know what is going on each moment, and they alert you of whales appearing. They open early season and stay open much later than all the other whale watching/deep sea fishing ships. I loved going on whale watching ships my whole life and look forward to going again this summer with my children.
I buy all of my piercing jewelry there and my friends have gotten tattoos from there. The owner really knows what he's doing and always makes sure that everything is completely sanitized and clean. I recommend this shop to people looking for jewelry or for tats.
Dr Schumacher has been my rheumatologist for a couple years now and always makes sure I know all about the Fibromyalgia I battle with and makes sure to ask all questions to ensure my health. He has been a very important part of my acceptance process, and the secretary is also so sweet. She always makes sure I'm up to date with appointments, etc. I will continue going to Riverbend Rheumatology.
My grandmother has purchased gorgeous jewelry for my cousin and I for Christmas and birthdays. I still look at the pendants, rings, and bracelets with awe, as they are so beautifully crafted and have shimmer after all these years. This is a great store to go for all occasions, from new baby to wedding...They will always satisfy your desire with such amazing jewelry. I am so pleased my grandmother chose this store to get my special gems.
