I was very happy with the services provided by Blue Girl Moving. They helped me when I relocated and were just fantastic. I didn't have a lot of stuff that needed to be moved, but they still treated me and my possessions carefully. Their guys were a crack up and worked really hard. I would highly recommend their services to anyone.
I have no doubt that Rose of Cinderella's Closet is talented, but her customer service skills leave so much to be desired, it just isn't funny. The short version - she did dresses for my sister, mom and I for my cousin's debutante ball. We contasted Rose 3 months in advance, went over what we wanted, gave her pictures and did the measurements. After several aborted fittings on her part, we started getting worried. I made several calls to her that were left unanswered for days. I should also say we each paid for our dresses up front. Two weeks before the party, Rose came from out of the woodwork and made arrangements for fittings. None of our dresses came out right - there were problems with all of them. After a very tense fitting, Rose promised to have them ready the following week. They weren't. They weren't done until the night before the party and they still weren't right. I was so disgusted with her, I grabbed all the dresses and left outraged. Don't ever use this woman for a custom made dress - she has no clue what customer service is and her alteration skills leave a lot to be desired. She's not worth the money or the time.
I like the hiking pants I bought from the Thousand Mile Outdoor Wear store. The pants aren't as expensive as the ones at REI, but do the job just the same. The pants were comfy, stylish and I actually wear them out in public besides hiking in them. I also own several of their organic cotton tees which are equally as comfy.
The only reason I knew anything about Moonbeams is because my pregnant sister mentioned it during lunch one day. Moonbeams is an overpriced children's store located in the Four Seasons. That should be warning enough. My sister was oohing and aaahing over a baby blanket she saw and couldn't have been more obvious about. When I went to check it out myself, I almost passed out from sticker shock. I love my sister but $75 for a baby blanket is a little out of my reach.
Jim of Sole Performance and Foot Depot was a lifesaver to my boyfriend and I. After being longtime cyclists and runners, our feet were killing us after long rides and runs. I was getting tired of having to roll my foot on an iced water bottle and knew there had to be a better way. We brought two pairs of shoes to Jim and explained the problem. He was able to fit us with custom orthotics that have worked wonders for the both of us. Jim is a very nice, honest and friendly guy who was genuinely interested in relieving our foot pain.
I took my car in for an oil change at Daniel's Tire Service after work one day. I had found a coupon online for $16.95, so I decided to give them a try. I was in and out in under an hour. I couldn't believe they were able to take me so fast! The service was great and you couldn't beat the price.
When I was looking for some aftermarket accessories for my car, my boyfriend took me to Paradise Wheels. If I hadn't had him with me, I doubt they would have taken me seriously. I hate having anything to do with car shopping and this place just reinforced it. The guy we were speaking to barely gave me a glance and answered all of my questions directly to my boyfriend. After a few minutes of this, I tugged on my boyfriend's arm and we left.
The Satori Designs brand left me feeling like I discovered a hidden jewel. I was at the Leaping Lotus killing time when I discovered some of the most beautiful and colorful tops I had ever seen. As I looked further, the saleslady came over and showed me more of the Satori collection, which I quickly fell in love with. Their colors and style is so easy and breezy, I bought several tops I wear all the time. I love their clothes and can't wait to buy more.
As soon as we found out that my sister was pregnant, my mom and I ordered layettes from Strasburg Children. The layettes and clothing in general that they have is so darned cute, it's hard to describe. They also carry beautiful special occasion clothes for infants and toddlers, which we plan on buying as my nephew gets bigger. The layette was a hit with my sister and my little newphew looks smashing in all of his Strasburg clothing.
Nail Stuff N More is where I get my stocking stuffers for my mom, my sister and my nieces. I like their selection of nail products (anything and everything from polishes to nail files to buffers et al) and find that their sale and clearance items are a steal. I like to stock up whenever I can.
